The International Committee for the Study of Bauxite, Alumina & Aluminium (ICSOBA) is pleased to announce its 44th International Conference and Exhibition, to be held from 15–20 November 2026 in Bengaluru, Karnataka, India. The conference will take place back-to-back with IFCURM 2026, which will be held in Yantai, China from 21-24 November 2026.

ICSOBA 2026 will focus on the key technical, operational and sustainability challenges facing the aluminium industry across the entire value chain – from bauxite mining and alumina refining through to primary aluminium production. The programme will feature distinguished keynote speakers, more than 160 technical presentations, and an exhibition showcasing the latest technologies, equipment and innovations. The conference comprises four days of technical sessions, followed by a full day of site visits to an alumina refinery and an aluminium smelter.

As a partner event of IFCURM 2026, ICSOBA will include a dedicated Bauxite Residue session highlighting the latest scientific advances, industrial case studies and practical applications supporting the sustainable management and utilisation of bauxite residue. Particular attention will be given to Hindalco's achievements in the near-complete utilisation of bauxite residue in cement manufacture, demonstrating the progress being made towards large-scale circular economy solutions.

Known as "The Technology Conference of the Aluminium Industry, for the Aluminium Industry," ICSOBA provides a platform for engineers, researchers, technology providers and industry leaders to exchange knowledge, develop new collaborations and discover the latest technological developments. It also offers companies an excellent opportunity to enhance their visibility among senior decision-makers and leading technical experts from across the global aluminium industry.
